PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for clearly showing an overlapping part where a difference between colors is determined to be within a predetermined amount and discrimination therebetween is difficult, by changing the color of its background image area.

SOLUTION: An image processing device comprises: a background area setting unit 53 that sets a background image area at a position where overlapping is detected for at least one of a first element image and a second element image; and a color change unit 54 that changes the color of the background image area. The color change unit 54 changes the color of the background image area when it is determined by a color determination unit 52 that a difference between colors is within a predetermined amount.
