<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device which has input means on both of front and back surfaces and in which input into the input means arranged on the back surface can be performed more comfortably. <P>SOLUTION: The input device includes: a flat plate like body part; a first contact type position detection part 301 for detecting a first contact position by a human body on a first detection surface of the body part; a second contact type position detection part 306 for detecting a second contact position by the human body on a second detection surface on the opposite side of the first detection surface; and a detection area restriction part 305 for restricting an area where the second contact type position detection part can perform position detection on the second detection surface, according to predetermined information 304, based on the information of the first contact position.
