<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feeder, feeding method and image forming apparatus that can raise a speed of taking out of paper or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The feeder includes: a feed table on which a plurality of papers are staked in one direction, wherein some of the papers are bundled by a staple; a take-out module configured to sequentially take out the papers from an edge of the one direction; a first detector configured to detect whether the staple exists in the papers within a distance h measured from the edge of the one direction; a controller configured to control the take-out module in a first mode or a second mode wherein when the staple is detected in the papers within the distance h, the controller controls the take-out module in the first mode so that an interval of taking out the papers becomes a first period and when the staple is not detected in the papers within the distance h, the controller controls the take-out module in the second mode so that the interval of taking out the papers becomes a second period shorter than the first period and the papers are taken out sequentially. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
