<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymerizable liquid crystal composition provided as a material for an optically anisotropic body, wherein a material is provided which can obtain an excellent film having no crack when a patterned film is produced through a combination of polymerization by ultraviolet irradiation and polymerization by heating. <P>SOLUTION: This invention relates to a polymerizable liquid crystal compound, a photopolymerization initiator, and the polymerizable liquid crystal composition that contains a thermal polymerization initiator. In the polymerizable liquid crystal composition, the thermal polymerization initiator has 10-hour half-life temperature of 70-93°C.
