A method for manufacturing a display (100) comprises: a first process in which a display panel (110) is disposed in a case (130), and a cover member (142) is placed on a surface (110B) of the display panel (110) in a manner such that a portion (140A) in the thickness direction is accommodated in a window part (131W) and the remaining portion in the thickness direction covers the accommodated portion (140A) and at least a portion of the outer surface of a flange part (130F); a second process in which a light guide member (150) is placed on a peripheral edge portion of the surface of the cover member (142) with an adhesive (151) being disposed therebetween; and a third process in which the adhesive (151) is hardened to bond the light guide member (150) to the cover member (142).
