<p>An artificial atlanto-odontoid joint comprises an atlas component, an axis component, a joint component and screws. The atlas component consists of a symmetrical arc fixing plate (1) and a rear rotating sleeve (2), and each end of the arc fixing plate (1) is symmetrically provided with a first screw hole (3); the axis component consists of a fixing plate and a base (6) above, and two pairs of arms (8,10) are symmetrically stretched from the fixing plate towards the lower left and the lower right, wherein the end parts of one pair of arms (8) are each provided with a second screw hole (9), and the end parts of the other pair of arms (10) are each provided with a third screw hole (11); there is a hemispherical glenoid fossa (7) above the base (6); the joint component consists of a rotation axis (4) and a spherical articular head (5) therebelow; the rotation axis (4) connects like a joint with the rotating sleeve (2) of the atlas component, the spherical articular head (5) connects like a joint with the glenoid fossa (7) on the base (6) of the axis component, and the glenoid fossa (7) encompasses two thirds of the articular head (5) to prevent a joint from prolapsing during motion; said screws are separately provided within the first screw hole (3), the second screw hole (9) and the third screw hole (11). On the premise that the artificial atlanto-odontoid joint keeps stable, said artificial atlanto-odontoid joint retains the motor function of the atlantoaxis to the maximum extent and provides more reliable and efficient fixation.</p> |
