<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that can stop a translation cam at a desired position even if a motor with no holding power, such as a DC motor, is used. <P>SOLUTION: A translation cam (a contact/separation cam 200) includes: a first cam surface for moving a first developing roller from a first contact position to a first separation position; a first holding surface that holds the first developing roller at the first separation position; and a second engaging part (a cam side projection 205) that can engage with a first engaging part (a rear side projection 211), installed in an adjacent member (a support member 210), in a predetermined direction. The first and second engaging parts are installed at positions engaging them with each other before switching a surface receiving an energizing force from a first energizing member from the first holding surface to the first cam surface. When a force less than a driving force from a driving source is applied to the translation cam, one of the engaging parts does not surmount the other, and when a force equal to or more than the driving force from the driving source is applied to the translation cam, the one of them surmounts the other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
