<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reducing coloring of a vinyl polymer produced by an atom transfer radical polymerization of a vinyl monomer, in which a transition metal complex is used as a polymerization catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for reducing coloring of a vinyl polymer produced by the atom transfer radical polymerization of a vinyl monomer, in which the transition metal complex is used as the polymerization catalyst, the vinyl polymer (I) having at least one in average of at least one crosslinkable functional group selected from a hydrolyzable silyl group, a (meth)acryloyl group, and an epoxy group is brought into contact with a hydrogen peroxide solution at 100°C or higher. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
