<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved blood product transfer system that allows a blood product to readily flow through a tubuing having a smaller diameter more efficiently and quickly. <P>SOLUTION: A system for transferring the blood product between a blood storage bag 20 and a processing bag 32. The system includes an airtight containment chamber 10 for supporting therein one or more blood storage bags 20. A door 28 is provided for access to the chamber 10 and there is included an airtight fixture 26 that allows tubing from the blood storage bag 20 to exit the chamber 10. A fluid pump 12 is coupled to the containment chamber 10 for establishing either pressure or vacuum within the containment chamber 10.
