METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF CHIRAL 8-(3-AMINO-PIPERIDIN-1-YL)-XANTHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing at low cost, high-purity chiral 8-(3-amino-piperidin-1-yl)-xanthine as an enantiomer by using a chemically, optically highly-pure starting material.

SOLUTION: There is provided a method for preparation of a compound of formula (I) (wherein R1is quinazolinylmethyl; R2is methyl; and R3 is 2-butyn-1-yl), an enantiomer or salt thereof, comprising reacting a xanthine derivative having a halogen atom or the like at the eighth position and 3-phthalimidopiperidine being raw materials and then performing a deprotection reaction.
