<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detent escapement for timepiece, which operates normally and more reliably than conventional detent escapements, and a mechanical timepiece. <P>SOLUTION: A detent escapement comprises: an escape wheel having a tooth part; a balance performing vibration of normal rotation and reverse rotation based on rotation of the escape wheel; an actuation lever having a rotation stop part which can come in contact with and separate from the escape wheel according to the vibration of the balance, stops rotation of the escape wheel by coming in contact with the tooth part when the actuation lever approaches the escape wheel, and releases the contact and makes the escape wheel rotate when the actuation lever separates from the escape wheel; and an adjustment mechanism which adjusts the position of the rotation stop part provided on the actuation lever. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
