PURPOSE: A device and method for diagnosing a prostate cancer using a fractal dimension value are provided to reduce the diagnosis time of the prostate cancer and supply an objective diagnosis result about a biopsy using semiconductor laser. CONSTITUTION: A semiconductor laser unit irradiates two excitation laser beams with a micro time interval. An optical unit(120) receives auto-fluorescence generated from a prostate sample. A detecting unit(130) detects the intensity of auto-fluorescence dependent on time. A diagnosing unit(140) calculates a fractal dimension value using fractal dimension algorithm.
