An adaptor assembly (100) for coupling a blade root (110) of a turbine blade (24) to a root slot (106) of a rotor disk (22) is disclosed. The adaptor assembly (100) may generally include an adaptor body (102) having a root (104) configured to be received within the root slot (106). The adaptor body (102) may also define a slot having an open end configured to receive the blade root (110). The adaptor body (102) may further define a channel (150). The adaptor assembly (100) may also include a plate (112) having an outwardly extending foot (148). The foot (148) may be configured to be received within the channel (150). Additionally, the plate (112) may be configured to cover at least a portion of the open end of the slot when the foot (148) is received within the channel (150).
