The guide carriage (20) has a lower shell (21) and an upper shell (22) between which an endlessly revolving rolling unit (23) are placed. The guide carriage is supported against a guide rail by the rolling member. The lower shell and upper shell are partially formed by a material to store lubricant delivered by the rolling members. A carriage body (24) is formed with an engagement (25), where the material to store and dispense lubricant is made of porous polymer matrix. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing a guide carriage of a linear guide.
