The system has a single-tank (E) including a coolant (KM) i.e. cooling liquid, and an X-ray tube (R). A circulating unit (UE) i.e. pump, adjusts circulation of the coolant within the single-tank. The circulating unit is designed such that turbulence of the coolant is formed within the single-tank. Other two circulating units (P1, P2) pump the coolant out of the single-tank and feed the coolant again into the single-tank via tubular openings (KL) and a bridging line (L). Temperatures (T1, T2) of the pumped and fed coolant are measured during operation of the X-ray tube.
