PURPOSE: A method for collecting the sperm of bumblebees is provided to improve sperm collecting rate and to rapidly collect sperm. CONSTITUTION: A method for collecting the sperm of bumblebees is as follows. The genital organ placed within the abdomen of a male bee is separated. The seminiferous tubule and anterior crop are separated from the genital organ. The separated anterior crop is put on a container containing a solution and is covered with a cover. Sperm is extracted from the anterior crop by pressing the cover.
