PURPOSE: A ball screw for a machine tool is provided to reduce thermal deformation by transferring the heat of coolant generated during the linear reciprocation of a ball screw outside. CONSTITUTION: A ball screw for a machine tool comprises a ball screw body(110), a coolant flow passage(120), and a cover member(130). The flange is mounted in one side of the ball screw body and a rotary shaft is formed in the ball screw. Coolant is flowed along the outer peripheral surface of the screw body. The coolant is supplied or discharged through a plurality of through holes(131) formed on the outer peripheral surface of the screw body.
