IN-PLANE SWITCHING MODE LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

PURPOSE: An in-plane switching mode liquid crystal display device is provided to have the outermost block and an internal block with different widths, thereby forming the same electric field in all blocks. CONSTITUTION: A pixel electrode(140) is electrically connected to a thin film transistor. The pixel electrode is branched from each pixel area. The pixel electrode and a common electrode are alternately arranged. The pixel electrode forms a plurality of blocks. A liquid crystal layer is placed between a first substrate and a second substrate. A block nearest a data line and another internal block in the pixel area have different widths.
