PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission having simple construction for reducing the amount of lubricating oil to be supplied to lubrication requiring sites including an idling gear. SOLUTION: The transmission includes an axial pipe line 2a formed in a shift fork shaft 2 extending along the axial direction, a radial oil path 6 formed in the shift fork shaft 2 for supplying lubricating oil 9 supplied through the axial pipe line 2a, toward lubrication requiring sites including at least the idling gear 13, and a slit member 4 attached to the shift fork shaft 2 so that the relative position of the shift fork shaft 2 is varied with the shift of the shift fork shaft 2, for varying the opening cross section area of the radial oil path 6 with the shift of the shift fork shaft 2.
