<p>Gas container (100) comprises a gas volume that is closed by the container upwardly and laterally in a gastight manner, where the gas container is completely or partially open at the bottom. The gas container is designed to be filled with a light gas, which has a lower density than air, where an upper region of the gas container is filled with the light gas during filling of the gas container. An irradiation region is provided in the upper region of the gas container for irradiating objects with electrons and/or UV radiation. Independent claims are also included for: (1) an irradiation device for irradiating objects with electrons and/or UV radiation, comprising the gas container, and an irradiation unit (106), which is designed with an irradiation region in the upper region of the gas container to be irradiated with electrons and/or UV radiation; and (2) irradiating objects with electrons and/or UV radiation in the gas container, comprising filling the upper region of the gas container with the light gas, introducing the object to be irradiated into the gas container, irradiating the object with electrons and/or UV radiation, in the irradiation region at the upper region of the gas container, and feeding out the irradiated object from the gas container.</p> |
