Hair extension means are provided including a material portion comprising a plurality of apertures, and wherein a plurality of strands of extension hair and/or a hair weft is attached to the material portion. The hair extension strands and/or wefts can be attached to or adjacent to a peripheral edge of the material portion. The material portion may be flexible in the form of a mesh, netting, lace or hooped material. A method of attaching such a hair extension to a userâ s natural hair wherein the material portion is placed in a suitable position on the userâ s head and pulling at least one or more strands of the userâ s natural hair through at least one aperture in the material portion thereby attaching the hair extension means. A hooked tool may be used to pull the userâ s natural hair through the apertures. Heat, micro-rings, micro-links or other connection means may also be used.
