A papermaker's or industrial fabric and method of manufacturing comprising providing a base material comprising fabric strips having a lateral fringe comprising yarns that extend beyond a lateral edge, depositiing polymeric resin material on said lateral fringe at preselected discrete locations where yarns of a lateral fringe overlap with yarns of an adjacent strip in a controlled manner in droplets and at least partially setting the polymeric resin material to bond the yarns together.
