PURPOSE: A charging/discharging device for storage batteries in a rice cooker is provided to implement stable rice cooking in the event of power outage by selectively connecting storage batteries in series and selectively supplying storage battery power with different voltage levels to a load. CONSTITUTION: Relays(114,115) correspond to storage batteries(107,108), respectively. Relay driving units(105,106) are connected to the relays one by one and control the contact states of the relays. A control unit(104) controls the relay driving units in power outage to connect the storage batteries in series through the relays and supply power with voltage levels created by the serial connection of the storage batteries to the rice cooker.
