摘要 <p>The method for controlling/regulating the production of a foam slag (1) in a metallic melt (2) in an electric arc furnace, comprises continuously determining the dimension of the oscillation amplitude and/or the oscillation frequency of the electric arc furnace, where the oscillation amplitude and/or the oscillation frequency represents the layer height of the foam slag in the electric arc furnace, and adding a mixture (4), which contains a metal oxide and carbon, in the electric arc furnace in response to the measured oscillation amplitude and/or oscillation frequency. The method for controlling/regulating the production of a foam slag (1) in a metallic melt (2) in an electric arc furnace, comprises continuously determining the dimension of the oscillation amplitude and/or the oscillation frequency of the electric arc furnace, where the oscillation amplitude and/or the oscillation frequency represents the layer height of the foam slag in the electric arc furnace, and adding a mixture (4), which contains a metal oxide and carbon, in the electric arc furnace in response to the measured oscillation amplitude and/or oscillation frequency so that a desired target layer height of the foam slag is formed or held. The dimension of the oscillation amplitude and/or the oscillation frequency of the electric arc furnace is determined by evaluation of the measured oscillation on an electrode (6) in the electric arc furnace using a laser Doppler vibrometer (8). The addition of the mixture is carried out with a higher or lower speed, when the measured dimension of the oscillation amplitude and/or the oscillation frequency of the electric arc furnace lies external of a target amplitude or frequency band and the measured-layer height of the foam slag is less so that the electric arc furnace is wrapped over its entire height completely with the foam slag. The addition of the mixture is carried out with low speed during decreasing the oscillation amplitude and/or oscillation frequency below the target band, and/or the addition of the mixture is carried out with high speed during increasing the oscillation amplitude and/or oscillation frequency above the target band. The addition of the mixture is reduced or stopped during reaching the target band and is continuously carried out in predetermined time intervals. The mixture is introduced between the metal melt and slag. The mixture has further carrier material from iron and/or chromium. The mixture further comprises a binder, briquettes and/or pellets. The metal oxide is reduced below the slag by carbon, and the gas emerging during the reduction forms bubbles in the slag. An independent claim is included for a device for controlling the production of a foam slag in a metallic melt.</p>
