Multi-beam laser processing head

Multi-beam laser head splits an incident beam (5) into at least two exit beams (20, 21) which are focused on the same area to be worked (26). A beam splitter (7) divides the beam into two partial beams which are directed along a first (8) and second (9) path. These are arranged in a projection on a dividing plane at right angles to the center line of the head or are at an angle to each other in this plane. Alternatively their projection on the plane is parallel to the center line or they are at an obtuse angle, preferably more than 160[deg] , to each other.
