A toy vehicle comprises a frame 12, front and rear carriages 45 & 38 each having at least one road wheel 47 & 42 to support and steer the vehicle. A steering control member 28 is slidably supported between the carriages and moved sided to side by a steering actuator subassembly (70, figure 6) to simultaneously pivot facing ends 45b & 38b of the carriages in the same lateral direction thereby steering the vehicle in the opposing lateral direction. The steering actuator subassembly (70) may also simultaneously rock the vehicle body (14) and move a structure that simulates a pair of eyes (81c, figure 1) in a front windshield area to simulate animated responses of the toy vehicle. |
