The device (1) has a housing (2) in which a receiving unit (7) for a motor car wheel (3) is arranged. A drive device (6) introduces a relative movement between the receiving unit and housing. Nozzle arrangements (9, 10) are arranged opposite to each other to enable cleaning of outer and inner sides (21, 22) of the wheel. The nozzle arrangements are movable relative to the housing and coupled to moving units i.e. coupling unit (15) such as steel rope, control unit (16) such as electric linear spindle drive, and deflection unit (17), for initiating cleaning movement of the nozzle arrangements.
