A merchandising unit (10) for consumer goods comprises a first compartment for housing the consumer goods, the first compartment having a first opening and comprising a first display assembly (20) including a first plurality of closure panels (24). The closure panels (24) are pivotable such that the first display assembly is moveable between a closed state in which the closure panels cover the first opening and an open state in which the first opening is at least partially uncovered. The merchandising unit (10) also comprises actuating means (26) for pivoting the first plurality of closure panels (24) substantially simultaneously.
