<p>The invention relates to a method for processing bits of a digital signal that are to be input to a QAM modulator, and also to a method for processing bits of a digital signal that are output by a QAM demodulator. A permutation processing respectively inverse permutation is performed on the bits so as to optimize the association of the bits with the QAM constellation symbols. The performance of the LDPC codes of code rate 1/3 and 2/5 is thus optimized. The invention provides various permutation rules for different QAM constellation sizes and different LDPC codes.</p> |
