<p>In a key, in particular a motor vehicle key, having a key head 1 manufactured from plastic and a bit 2, which is anchored on the key head 1 and is movable between an stowed position and a usage position protruding from the key head 1, a first part 15, 20 of the key head 1, on which the bit 2 engages, is manufactured from a fiber-reinforced plastic and a second part 8, 19, which forms an outer envelope of the key head 1, is manufactured from a fiber-free plastic. Preferably the inner housing 15 is injection moulded into the outer housing 10 having an undercut 12, 23 for improved fit of inner housing; outer housing provides for greater selection of materials and colours and may be of a polyamide.</p> |
