Spring-mounted connection terminal

The terminal has a housing made of insulating material and accommodating a flap metal loop spring (2). The spring has a contact face supported on a stripped end of an electric conductor and an operating face (2B) accessible to a tool inserted through a window (4) of the housing for elastically deforming the spring to move the contact face and engage the electric conductor. An apron (5) made of insulating material is in contact with the spring by covering the operating face of the spring. The apron is independent of the housing and simply supported on the spring.
