The retention device (1) has receiving element (2) for receiving the mobile phone, and two retaining elements (6) which are protruded from contact surface (4). An adjusting element is equipped for adjusting the length of retaining element. The receiving element is moved between the release position and holding position in which a mobile phone is held with retaining element.
