<p>The device has a supporting structure provided with a support ring (1.1) and a supporting basket (1.2). A dosing container (2) is arranged in the basket. A plug-in coupling is supported at a bottom part (2.1) of the container to retain a metering device (3) i.e. dropper. The ring and the basket are releasably connected with each other. The container is formed in cylindrical shape with a semi-circular cross section. A dosing amount of the metering device is adjustable by rotating a screw threaded sleeve of the metering device. An independent claim is also included for a method for reducing or avoiding formation of hydrogen sulfide, biogenic sulfuric acid and/or mercaptan in a sewer system.</p> |
