<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information output controller capable of suitable control of information output corresponding to the connection of 3D-image-noncompliant apparatuses. <P>SOLUTION: An image converter of this embodiment is equipped with detection means and control means. The detection means detects the connection with a 3D-image-noncompliant first image display apparatus.
