摘要 PURPOSE: A satellite tracking system and a control method thereof are provided to accurately calculate tracking position for reference time and to improve accuracy of a position orbit of a satellite by handling data loss. CONSTITUTION: The structure of a satellite tracking system is comprised of an AOS(ARGO-M Operation System)(100) and a TMS(Tracking Mount System)(200). The AOS is comprised of time frequency equipment(110) and an ICS(Interface Control System)(120). The time frequency equipment comprises a GPS receiving device and receives UTC(Universal Time Coordinated). The ICS calculates position orbit data of a satellite with a Lagrangian Interpolation method using the UTC and satellite estimation orbit data and transfers a position tracing command of the satellite. The TMS is comprised of a tracking mount(210) and a servo controller(220). The tracking mount outputs laser to the satellite and supports a telescope. The telescope measures the distance with the satellite by receiving the laser reflected from the satellite. The servo controller receives the position orbit data of the satellite from the ICS and receives the UTC from the time frequency equipment.
