PURPOSE: A touch sensor in-cell type liquid crystal display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to fundamentally prevent short-circuit due to remaining conductive materials on a boundary of a first protective layer. CONSTITUTION: A second protective layer(155) is formed on a frontal side of a substrate on a common electrode, an x sensing line, and a y sensing line. The second protective layer comprises a second drain contact hole. The second drain contact hole exposes a drain electrode. A pixel electrode(160) contacts the drain electrode through the second drain contact hole on the second protective layer. The pixel electrode is formed on each pixel area. The pixel electrode has bar-shaped openings.
