<p>The system (1) has a card (3b) e.g. smart card, co-operating with an electronic payment terminal (3a) to identify a merchant (14), and a payment program (2c) comprising a software application executed on a mobile communication terminal e.g. intelligent portable telephone (2), of a customer (13). The terminal communicates with a monetics system i.e. monetics server center (4), that communicates with a bank account server center (7) to validate purchase and allow transfer of some of money from a customer's electronic purse (8) to a merchant's electronic purse (9), by the account server center. An independent claim is also included for a method for carrying out proximity payment between bank accounts of a customer and a merchant.</p> |
