A word game is provided herein. The word game having: a plurality of tiles, each tile having a nesting portion and a nested portion, wherein the nesting portion is characterized by a concavity into which another playing tile may be nested, and wherein the nested portion is characterized by a convex edge; at least one of the tiles displaying a character value; and at least one of the tiles displaying a special feature value.
