The method involves molding a plastic material on one side or on both sides of a film e.g. barrier film (14) or decorative film, or a film body. The film or film body is provided in specific areas with a reinforcement in regions, which are exposed to high mechanical load during the molding process. The reinforcement is made by applying a support, where the support is formed as a plate-shaped component. A reinforcing platelet (32) is used as the plate-shaped component and made of metal and plastic. A plastic layer (12) is applied on a side of the film body. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for manufacturing a single-overmolded film (2) a plastic molded part.
