<p>Title of Invention : Demountable Extension Socket Holder Abstract The Demountable Extension Socket Holder (100) as shown in Figure 1 is a device designed to provide a means to secure any Extension Socket Unit (200) in its bigger "C" channel compartment (120) as shown in Figure 2 firmly onto the edge of side panel or legs any furniture (300) at its smaller "C" channel compartment (130) as shown in Figure 3. The Extension Socket Unit (200) is being held firmly in place by means of two socket head adjustment screws (285) provided at the base of the bigger "C" channel compartment (120). To prevent the adjustment screws (285) from puncturing the Extension Socket Unit (200), the free ends of the adjustment screws (285) are being fitted with capping nuts (288) as shown in Figure 2. The entire assembled units is being clamped firmly into position at the edge or side panel or leg of the furniture (300) at the works station by means of two socket head adjustment screws (385). To prevent the adjustment screws (385) from scratching or damaging the contact surfaces of the furniture, the free ends of the adjustment screws (385) are being fitted with capping nuts (388) as shown in Figure 3.Since the Demountable Extension Socket Holder (100) will be mounted edge or side panel or leg of the furniture (300), it will continue to remain easily and readily accessible after it has been fixed in position. Replacement of the original Extension Socket Unit (200) with a new and different type of Extension Socket unit (200) is very simple as it only involves the loosening of the two adjustment screws (285) securing the Extension Socket Unit (200), dislodging the old Extension Socket Unit (200) from the Demountable Extension Socket Holder (100) and putting in the new and different type of Extension Socket Unit (200) in place and re-tightening the adjustment screws (285). The entire assembly can also be dismantled easily and effortlessly, without the need for any hand tools, simply by literally loosening the adjustment screws (385) with the fingers and re-fixing the entire assembly at any other location desired. As the free ends of the adjustment screws (385) are also fitted with capping nuts (388) there will be no damage caused to the contact surface of the edge or side panel or leg of the furniture (300).[Figure 3]</p> |
