PURPOSE: A negative electrode active material is provided to improve discharging capacity of a lithium battery, a high-rate characteristic, and life time performance by comprising crystalline carbon-based material, titan-based oxide particle. CONSTITUTION: A negative electrode active material comprises a core. The core comprises crystalline carbon-based material of which distance between crystal faces d_002 is 0.35 nm or more, and titanium-based oxide particles. The content of the titanium-based oxide particle is 0-10 weight% based on total weight of the core. A manufacturing method of the negative electrode active material comprises: a step of preparing the crystalline carbon-based material; and a step of preparing the core comprising the crystalline carbon-based material and the titanium-based oxide particle.
