PURPOSE: A laser apparatus is provided to increase the intensity of a laser by setting an excitation optical fiber. CONSTITUTION: A total reflection layer part is installed in a disc shaped laser medium(10). A resonance part(30) has a total reflector installed in the laser medium. An excitation energy supply part(40) supplies excitation energy to the laser medium. A heat sink(22) is combined with a rear side of the total reflector. The laser medium has a medium front side and a medium rear side which are arranged in parallel and a medium circumferential side of a closed-loop shape which connects the medium front side and the medium rear side. The medium front side has a smaller area than the medium rear side. The medium circumferential side is formed in a polyhedron shape having nine low circumferential sides. Each low circumferential side is formed in an equilateral trapezoid. |
