PURPOSE: A tripod type continuous velocity joint for a vehicle is provided to improve reliability of the continuous velocity joint by preventing the damage of the continuous velocity joint. CONSTITUTION: A tripod type continuous velocity joint for a vehicle comprises a housing(23), a shaft(1), a spider(3), and a spring cap(8), and a spring(25). The housing comprises an inner track groove and a spring seating groove(22). The shaft is rotated by receiving torque from the housing. The spider is installed in the inner track of the housing and comprises three trunnions. A roller is installed in the trunnion and the spider connects the shaft and the housing. The spring cap is installed in the end portion of the shaft. The spring is installed between the spring cap and the housing. The spring comprises a straight projection(24) in the end portion for being coupled with the seating groove of the housing.
