FIELD: machine building. ^ SUBSTANCE: tested material is drilled, and consumed energy, time and drilling depth are measured with further indirect determination of physical strength properties of the material by means of calculation. Drilling is performed in two steps in reference specimen and in tested material in series with one drill for several times at similar specified time intervals, and with equal constant hold-down pressure of drill on the material. Specific energy consumed for each drilling operation is calculated, as per which average specific energy of drilling of the tested material is calculated; after that, average specific drilling energies of tested material and reference material are compared to known strength, and strength of tested material is calculated as per the formula. Device includes electric drilling machine with a drill and mechanism of its constant hold-down pressure, measuring instruments for measurement of energy consumed with electric drilling machine, time and drilling depth. Device includes tubular housing inside which there installed with possibility of axial movement is electric drilling machine that is spring-loaded on rear side with possibility of three values of constant hold-down pressure on tested material. Tubular housing includes two vertical position levels and one horizontal position level of tubular housing on outer side and adjustable measurement scale of axial movement of drilling machine during drilling process. Tubular housing includes at least one side opening near face cut and three adjusting bolts with thrust heads, which are located uniformly in circumferential direction. ^ EFFECT: reduction of measuring equipment cost; portable and general-purpose design; easier strength measuring technology. ^ 4 cl, 12 dwg |
