摘要 Powders which form puddings and creams with cold water are made by mixing starch with a mixture of skim milk and whey in which there is more skim milk than whey, e.g., stirring 15 kg. of maize starch into a mixture of 200 l. of skim milk and 100 l. of whey, heating the mixture, with stirring, to 75-85 DEG C, and spray-drying the resulting product. Aromatic and edulcorating substances, e.g., vanilla, cocoa, sugar, saccharin, may be added at any stage. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also the combination in a common swelling process of starch and skim milk only. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
