A system, to which the invention has been applied and in which a storage device is divided into a plurality of unit areas, assigns, when a channel has received designated data, an unused one of the plurality of unit areas thereto, and uses the assigned unit area to perform at least one of adjustment of transmission timing of the data and conversion of the data. For this purpose, the system comprises: an error detecting means for detecting such an error that the unit area from which the data is to be read cannot be found out; and an error control means that, when the error detecting means detects the error, recognizes, as a target channel, the channel of the data stored in the unit area, which cannot be found out due to the error, and cancels the unit-area assignment for the recognized target channel. |
