Disclosed is the compound 6-amino-2-{ [(1S)-1-methylbutyl]oxy} -9-[5-(1-piperidinyl)pentyl]-7,9-dihydro-8H-purin-8-one, or a salt thereof. Further disclosed is a pharmaceutical composition which comprising a compound as defined above, and one or more pharmaceutically acceptable diluents or carriers, and which may optionally be formulated for intranasal or inhaled administration, for the treatment of allergic diseases and other inflammatory conditions (including allergic rhinitis and asthma), infectious diseases, and cancer.
