Disclosed is a device (1) for feeding animals. The device has a frame with a feed holder (3) for a feeding site for an animal. The frame is provided with a restricting device with restricting means (7a, 7b) for restricting in at least two opposite lateral directions a dwelling space (5) for an animal using the feeding site. The device also has means (8a, 8b) for keeping animals located outside the dwelling space at a distance from the restricting means.
