PURPOSE: A redox flow battery is provided to restrain crossover of an active material, and to improve coulomb efficiency and energy efficiency of a redox flow battery. CONSTITUTION: A separator(1) for a redox flow battery comprises a cationically conductive membrane(3), and an anionically conductive membrane(5) formed on both sides of the cation conductive membrane. A redox flow battery comprises: an electrode assembly comprising the separator, and a positive electrode and a negative electrode in both sides of the separator; a positive electrode supply part comprising a positive electrode active material solution supplied to the positive electrode, and a negative electrode supply part comprising a negative electrode active material solution supplied to the negative electrode. The anionically conductive membrane comprises an anionically conductive polymer comprising pyridinium, pyrrolidinium, ammonium, imidazolium or cations of combinations thereof. |
