PURPOSE: A broadcasting receiving device and a service installing method thereof are provided to firstly install a new application in a secondary operating system, thereby inspecting safety of the new application and installing only new application which the safety is satisfied in a main operating system. CONSTITUTION: A communication interface(150) receives a new application corresponding to a new service. A determining unit(180) installs the new application in a second operating system and determines normal operation of the new application in the second operating system. When the new application is normally operated in the second operating system, a controlling unit(190) installs the new application in a first operating system. A storing unit(160) stores the new application in a second storing area corresponding to the second operating system.
